BEFORE
Before the renovations, the master bedroom had oak trim and doors, white walls, and a gold and oak ceiling fan.
AFTER
So far the renovations on the master bedroom have only included painted the trim white and replacing the ceiling fan with a new white fan from Home Depot.
The doors on the second floor have yet to be sanded and painted due to winter setting which means the temperatures are too low for painting.
BEFORE
Before the renovations, the master bathroom had original oak cabinets with no hardware, sand dollar painted walls, gold bath fixtures, gold and chrome sink faucets and accessories, oak trim, gold closet sliding glass doors, and gold light fixtures.
AFTER
The renovations on the master bathroom have included:
- painting the oak cabinets with Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint
- new knobs and pulls for the cabinets
- painted the sink faucets, bathrooms fixtures and accessories with bronze paint
- framed out the mirrors with wood and trim
- new light fixtures from Lowe’s
- walls painted Sherwin Williams Sea Salt
- closet door trim spray painted white
The chest of drawers by the bed was originally a dark wood ton, so I painted it with Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint. Curtains are Ikea Lenda which I have all over the house. They are simple, classic white and machine washable and affordable.
The makeup table and chair are one-of-a-kind finds from The Barn in Castle Rock, which is my favorite antique store in Colorado. Mirror and lamps are from Home Goods. Round side table was purchased years ago from Hobby Lobby.
The chair is an Ikea Ektorp Chair in Blekinge White. I love this line because the slipcovers are machine washable, which is absolutely a blessing with kids and dogs. Side table was purchased from Home Goods.
