Before the renovations, the foyer has laminate wood flooring, oak trim and stair railings, original gold chandelier and mostly white walls with brown accent walls.

While the foyer is a smaller space, it was one of the most time consuming spaces due to the railings and curved walls.  Here’s the renovation list:

• new wood flooring
• new base trim
• crown moulding which included flexible trim for the curved walls
• sanded and painted white closet doors and trim
• sanded and stained front door with a dark wood stain (this took multiple stains and still isn’t right)
• sanded and stained the hand rail a dark wood stain
• sanded and painted the ballusts with Benjamin Moore White Dove
• New Ballard Designs Sheffield 4-light Chandelier
• Walls are Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter (HC-172) and Benjamin Moore Classic Gray 1548

Took me a long time to finally commit to a new chandelier and I just love this one!  It was modern and dark, yet classic.  And of course, I utilized coupons and sales to help reduce the cost which made it even better!
