Before and Afters…
Before the renovations, the kitchen had the original oak cabinets, old trim, laminate wood flooring, original off-white refrigerator, black dishwasher, stainless oven, upgraded granite counter tops and faucet, gold fixtures and hardware, and a fluorescent ceiling light.
Renovations of the kitchen included:
- new unfinished 39″ upper cabinets from Home Depot (custom order to match the existing) painted white with Paint du Coco Snow White Chalk Paint
- lower cabinets painted with Paint du Coco Pebble Beach Chalk Paint
- new knobs and pulls for the cabinets
- new refrigerator and dishwasher
- removal of the flourescent light and addition of the recessed can lights
- new chandelier in the dining area with white shades I already had and a burlap cord cover from Ballard Design
- walls painted Benjamin Moore Classic Gray 1548
- crown moulding
- new wood click-and-lock hardwoood flooring
- wainscoting around the island with new wall base
- slow-closer hardware was added to the lower cabinets
